Gigantor

“Short Eared Owl”

We started and ended the day putting together a giant lawnmower that hooks to the back of the John Deer Tractor.  We worked through the afternoon hooking this beast up and finally finished, just as another rain cloud passed overhead.  That shut the work off for the rest of the day.

After tonight’s dinner, Bill and I headed out on the ATV’s and went to check the entire length of the new pasture we will be moving the bison into when things dry up.  We must have travelled at least 5 miles, because the dog we had following us dropped off after about 40 minutes of hard running.  We flushed a few white tail deer, a couple mule deer, and two short eared owls, one of which is above.

  1. Sounds like a great day

  2. Hope you don’t get the heat wave that miraculously appeared overnight…it’s 35C at 4:30 on June 6, which is 95F, but the humidex is way over 100…it’s like somebody turned on a blast furnace at 7 this morning! 5 miles on ATV’s sounds a whole lot better than 5 hours in the office! XO

  3. Watching the movie “Into The Wild” and getting ready to read the book. Reminded me of you . . sort of!

    Have a blast
